Feel free to ask me more about this project!

Why did I Start this Project?

As a music student who will be graduating this spring I have struggled with the idea of how I can make music a full career rather than a hobby.

I have always been learning about building a brand as an artists but in practice it can be much more difficult especially in a very saturated market.

Working in the restaurant/bar industry as well made me realize just how hard it for restaurants/bars is to stay profitable post-pandemic.

So I tried to solve two problems at once with a solution that could be beneficial to both parties.

So I have built a team to help me accomplish this goal and I hope to learn more about design and business to further accomplish my goal of helping artists and businesses.

What is SoundPoint?

SoundPoint is a start-up project build by artists for artists as a tool to build an artists brand and build a loyal following that will be used to promote performances, music, and merchandise.

The main focus is to connect listeners to artists that are local to them as well as local businesses for potential performance/gig opportunities.

In an increasingly saturated market we want to be able to help artists cut through the noise and jumpstart their own careers in music.

We hope that by building a platform specifically for music artists will be building a more loyal fanbase than on other platforms by giving the artist the tools to focus on their target audience at a more local level.

What is my Role in this Project?

As one of the co-founders of this project I plan the trajectory of this project starting small with the goal of being able to scale this project in the future.

Gather data from musicians and music students about how they feel about starting their musical careers and grow their individual brands.

Talk to local businesses in the Boston area about ways to improve talent search and the live music experience for everyone.

Talk to potential investors and providing updates on where the project is and the future of SoundPoint.

Be the bridge across departments to create a frictionless experience for users of all types.
